No two dogs—or the people who love them—are exactly alike, which is why I offer a variety of training options to fit your goals and lifestyle. Whether you're looking for in-home dog training in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, or the surrounding areas, a virtual consultation, or a self-paced online training program you can work through from anywhere, you'll find an option that's designed to help you build a better relationship with your dog and enjoy life together.
Every in-home training program begins with a consultation in your home. This gives me the opportunity to meet you and your dog, learn more about your goals, and see how your dog behaves in their everyday environment. It also gives you the chance to get to know me, ask questions, and make sure you feel comfortable moving forward.
Inviting someone into your home is a big decision, and I believe it's important that we both feel like we're a good fit.
During your consultation, we'll talk through the challenges you're facing, discuss what's realistic for your goals, and create a personalized plan for moving forward. You'll leave with a better understanding of your dog's behavior, practical steps you can start using right away, and a clear recommendation for the training program that's the best fit for you and your dog.
Private lessons are the perfect option for dog owners who want to be actively involved in their dog's training.
We begin by working together in your home, where your dog is most comfortable and where many of the behaviors you want to improve happen every day.
As your dog progresses and is ready for more distractions, we can also meet in public to practice real-life situations like loose leash walking, greeting people politely, or staying calm around other dogs.
Because these lessons are designed to teach both you and your dog, they're best suited for owners who are committed to practicing between sessions. The more consistent you are with your homework, the more progress you'll see, and I'll be there every step of the way to guide you, answer questions, and adjust your training plan as your dog grows.
The most popular options are the Foundations Program and the Mild Manners Program but, depending on your goals, I'm always happy to customize a program if your dog needs something a little different. During your consultation, we'll talk through your goals and choose the option that's the best fit for you and your dog.
If you're looking for something that's more involved than private in-home dog training but don't want to send your dog away for a board and train, my Homeschool Dog Training programs offer the best of both worlds.
Your dog stays at home in their familiar environment while receiving personalized training throughout the week, and you still receive the education and support you need to maintain that progress. Homeschool Dog Training is available throughout Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and the surrounding areas.
Each Homeschool week includes four training days. For the first three days, I'll come to your home and work one-on-one with your dog, building new skills and making progress while you're able to focus on work, family, or your busy schedule. On the fourth day, we'll meet together for a private lesson where I'll teach you what your dog has learned, answer your questions, and show you how to continue building on that foundation.
By working with your dog multiple times each week, I'm able to build consistency, get in the repetition that every dog needs to learn, and make meaningful progress before we meet for your lesson. You'll still play an important role in your dog's success, but I'll help lay the foundation so you and your dog can get the most out of every session together.
Choose between my Jump Start Program and Dream Dog Program, or contact me to create a customized training plan that's tailored to your goals.
Dog training doesn't always fit into a busy schedule, and not everyone lives close enough for in-home lessons. That's why I created my Online Learning Membership—to give you the flexibility to train on your own time without giving up the support and guidance that can make all the difference.
Inside the membership, you'll have access to both my online training course and community. Work through the step-by-step lessons at your own pace, revisit videos whenever you need a refresher, and ask questions along the way. You'll also be part of a community of dog owners who are learning right alongside you, with additional support from me, regular training content, discussions, and challenges to help keep you motivated.
